WI CCW

Basic handgun safety and shooting, alternatives to deadly force, and laws of self-defense

No experience or firearm required, but you can bring your own firearm if you choose. We will provide .22 handguns and ammunition for students.

Taking and passing this course qualifies you to apply for a WI Concealed Carry of a Weapon (CCW) permit through the Wisconsin Department of Justice. There is no requirement to apply for a CCW permit after taking the class.

If you have limited or no experience with handguns you are eligible for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) First Shots program. This program provides safety information, hearing protection, targets and ammunition for new shooters. The first two hours of the course covers the NSSF First Shots material.
